Dolores Water Conservancy District is hiring for several local, full-time positions to help deliver water to Montezuma and Dolores Counties.

 

Admin Positions

Accounting & Administrative Assistant

Hourly rate, DOE, at $20.00 - $26.57/hour ($41,600 - $55,266 annually)

·         Responsible for performing payroll and accounts payable, issuance of public notices, Board meeting preparation, meeting minutes, and general administrative duties for DWCD programs. This position is a primary public and customer contact working out of the Cortez office.

 

Field Positions

Water Resources Technician

Hourly rate, DOE, at $20.00 - $26.57/hour ($41,600 - $55,266 annually)

·         Maintain water resource accounting and models in accordance with contracts and state water law. Forecast water supply and calculate user allocations. Collect and report field data. Support field crews. Outreach and education. Assist in all aspects of the Project as assigned. Balanced field and office work. GIS experience desirable.

Industrial Electricians: Apprentice to Senior Level

Hourly rate, DOE, at $22.00 - $42.00/hour ($45,760 - $87,360 annually)

Industrial Mechanic

Hourly rate, DOE, at $22.00 - $30.56/hour ($45,760 - $63,565 annually)

·         Industrial Electricians & Mechanics work in their respective trades on pumping plants, hydropower plants, tunnels, canals and McPhee Dam, delivering water to Montezuma and Dolores Counties.

 

SCADA Positions

Control Room SCADA Operator: Entry Level

Hourly rate, DOE, at $18.98 - $26.57/hour ($39,478 - $55,266 annually)

·         SCADA operators conduct water deliveries and dispatch field staff from the Control Room using a remote supervisory control interface and communications systems. Training provided.

 

Admin positions work five eight-hour shifts.  Field staff typically work four ten-hour shifts.  SCADA staff work cycling twelve-hour shifts during the irrigation season and four ten-hour shifts during the off season.
